Stamping Out Hunger in Marysville

We thank the hardworking letter carriers, dedicated volunteers and citizens of Marysville who donated to the May 11 Letter Carriers’ Food Drive. The 20,444 pounds of food collected will help stock MCFB shelves for months to come. Leading the crew of volunteers were Dell Deierling at the main post office and Dennis Johnson at the annex. Six NJROTC students under the leadership of Commander Randy Brasfield and Kathy Wilde helped at both locations. Amy Howell and twelve other volunteers drove several routes to aid the letter carriers. Mike Mulligan drove truckloads of food from the post office to MCFB where Jon Alexander and Rick Hoover unloaded, organized and stored the donations. At the main post office, Phil Jubie barbecued burgers with all the fixings, provided by Grocery Outlet. And at the annex, Commander Randy grilled burgers and hot dogs he provided himself — plus everything to go with them. Thank you to everyone who helped ‘Stamp Out
Hunger’ in Marysville!
