Thank You for Helping to Stamp Out Hunger

A big thank you goes out to the hardworking letter carriers, dedicated volunteers, and the citizens of Marysville who donated to the May 13 Letter Carriers’ Food Drive. A big thank you goes out to the hardworking letter carriers, dedicated volunteers, and the citizens of Marysville who donated to the May 13 Letter Carriers’ Food Drive. Although donations were down by 1% from last year, the 22,078 pounds of food that were collected will help stock MCFB shelves.

Leading the crew of volunteers were Gary Doughty and Dell Deierling at the main post office and Dennis Johnson and Richard Warthen at the annex. A total of twelve NJROTC students under the leadership of Commander Randy Brasfield helped out at both locations. Phil Jubie barbecued burgers for the hungry workers at the main post office while Kenn Harmer did the same at the annex. Mike Mulligan drove truckloads of food from the post office to MCFB. Jim Adrian, Jon Alexander and Rick Hoover unloaded donations at the MCFB. Thank you to everyone who helped ‘Stamp Out Hunger’ in Marysville!
